Worst Father’s Day Gifts

As opposed to Moms, Fathers always appear to have tough luck.

My father has also been a victim over time. Nevertheless, in honesty, during many of the early years, my Mom pleasantly received kitchen stuff, year after year.

But Dads typically get terrible gifts on father’s day. Even when the children are now adults!

How awful can Father’s Day gifts be?

We have a list of the most terrible gifts on Earth!

* “BEST DAD IN THE UNIVERSE” things. Short sleeved t-shirts. Cups. Neckties. Enough. Each Father already owns a full outfit of stuff for the “Best Dad”. It’s adorable when you are a young child. Not as cute when you are a grown adult.

* Neckties. This is one of the Daddy’s day gifts that is a classic. (groan) Whoever was the first dad, to be bestowed this doggone tie… WHAT is the reason for him saying he liked it? Picture a caveman wearing a necktie. It was ruined, since that day, for us Fathers…

* Men’s Cologne. First, this says: “Father, you smell bad.” Second. It states: “Dad. We realize you own a whole bathroom closet’s worth of cologne. We are not concerned by this. There is invariably a place for one more.”

* Homemade IOU’s or coupons. For the purpose of back rubs, foot rubs, and more. Adorable. Let’s try to be realistic. This type of gift is usually given by kids who forgot to remember it was Father’s Day, and got it at the last minute. You’re caught.

* The nose hair trimmer — no explanation needed.

* A card with a song like MC Hammer’s “Can’t Touch This” Yeah. This is really available. (Father’s Day Gifts with an MC Hammer kick)

In the end, however, the finest father’s day gifts are those that are: - Simple. - Earnest. - Unforgettable.

Not long ago, in browsing over my childhood pictures with my Dad, it turned out I spent quite a bit more time than I had planned to. Looking over each photo. Giggling at the attire, the hairdos, the thoughts I probably had. The memories that you share. A touching memory shared with family or friends is among the most treasured things in life.

This year let’s celebrate the relationship Dad.

Do Father’s Day differently this go around. Better yet, don’t wait until June. Give your Dad the gift of a personal, heartfelt, handwritten Thank You Note for Father’s Day.
